About
Made in Monterrey, built to go far.
“It started with a candle store that couldn’t find software built for Mexico.”
Parsec Soft started with a store. In 2016 we began hand-pouring candles in Monterrey, Mexico. When we tried to sell them online, we found that most e-commerce software was built for somewhere else: priced in dollars, no OXXO, no Mexican invoicing, and compliance left up to you.
So we built our own. What started as Ámate’s store became El Changarró, so any business can have one. More products followed, each for a different kind of business, all with the same idea: first-class, secure, compliant software in your language and your currency.
Why Parsec Soft?
A vast distance, measured by a change in perspective.
A parsec is a unit astronomers use to measure the distance between stars. The word blends parallax and second (of arc).
Look at a nearby star today and again six months from now, from the other side of Earth’s orbit, and it seems to shift slightly. That shift is parallax. One parsec is the distance at which it measures exactly one arcsecond. British astronomer Herbert Hall Turner coined the term in 1913.
We liked it for two reasons: it measures something vast through a small change in perspective, and it’s a huge distance covered with method. That’s how we want to build: from Monterrey, carefully, to go far.
